It took me quite a while to come out of the influence of the drugs that damned doctor gave me. Irony: I could have healed myself quickly had I not been drugged, but the drug he gave me so fuzzed up my mind I couldn't concentrate enough to do anything.

The matter of Bastiens' death has been cleared up. The two poisonings were the doctor and Leafglow. A Tylean assasin had been responsible for the poisoned dart for reasons we never discovered. Dagmar stabbed him with the dagger for an unpaid debt. Brunhilde hit him over the head for dallying with her sister and leaving her suffering from a miscarriage.

So I stayed in the inn room, groggy and wounded, while the others looked for beastmen, or at least someone who had created an illusion of beastmen to scare the two men downstairs. They found a dead villager and a rather odd looking man whom they nearly killed before discovering he was wounded and probably didn't have anything to do with the dead man. They don't trust him, and we'll keep a watch on him, but they did bring him to me to take care of. Omi's arm is badly broken. I set it properly and gave it a nudge to start it healing naturally, but not enough to be noticeably unnatural. Omi looks half elf and half something I can't figure at all, and he dresses rather primitively in furs and leather. Strangely, he does speak Nipponese well enough to be able to converse with Hy and Miara.

The last time we were here, we did a few performances to help pay for our rooms and food. There was a young man, Ziggy, who had wanted to go with us when we left town. We left quickly and he wasn't able to join us. While I was laying in a drugged stupor, he came back to Jason, and said he was still interested in joining us. Jason agreed, and he left to pack. He was found dead the next morning, hanged. Everyone assumed suicide, but we have doubts. Unfortunately, I wasn't in any shape to look at him, and he was buried long before I could move around again.

I healed myself nearly completely, but am acting more hurt than I am. If I need to, I can finish the job quickly, but unless necessary, I don't want to attract attention. I did make it downstairs for breakfast, and Ash said the bread smelled funny. I couldn't detect anything, but I trust his nose and didn't eat any. He tried to tell me what it smelled like, but it was too vague. Could have been almost anything, really.

Apparently, if the beastmen don't attack, the hearing will be tomorrow. Miara is worried, I can tell, but I also think she's plotting something in case the case goes against us. At any rate, I can't imagine her allowing the dorfrichter to imprison or execute Hy or herself. Which means it's likely that we'll be skedaddling out of here quickly tomorrow evening, if the dorfrichter finds against us. I don't think he wants to, though.

They said the dead man they found had no marks on him, but I never got a chance to see the body, just as I wasn't able to see Ziggy's.
