Well, not really John Henry but for some reason that's what this kinetic statue in front of the Seattle Art Museum made me think of. Yes, kinetic -- the arm holding the hammer goes up and down.
The museum itself was interesting, although I wasn't allowed to take any pictures, of course. They had a lot of exhibits of northwest Indian tribes "stuff" -- totem poles and other structures, textiles, and also cultural information. They also had a large display of photography, and another travelling display of Oriental art.
